However, reading all the material on dom/sub and all the first-hand reports, I am left with the impression that dominatrixes do not very often engage in the act of sex per se. They tease, they punish, they occasionally allow their subs to pleasure them orally etc but they do not have full intercourse; they can easily abstain from intercourse or replace it with other methods.

Now, I have very strong sexual needs, always have had. I become very easily aroused and love penetration. Oral sex is ok but does not even come close to the kind of orgasms I get through penetration. My point being unless at some point in the game I get to experience the strength of the male and his virility, I am unlikely to enjoy the experience. And that is why I would never put make-up or female underwear on a sub; I enjoy dominating powerful, sexy men, not dolls.

I am not saying this meaning to insult anyone who enjoys such practices, merely to express my confusion at how these two things can be reconciled.

So does frequent "normal" (even missionary-position) intercourse with your sub mean you have less control over him? I want to dominate and tease, I can do it for hours, but I need full-on intercourse at the end of that. Is that unusual? Can it be reconciled with my role as a dominatrix?
